Assalamualaikum guys. For this latest update, allow me to share a little bit of my experience going for law faculty interview at UiTM Shah Alam.
I went to Shah Alam with my best friends, Syahirah and Aishah on Friday which was two days earlier from my scheduled iv's session which were on Sunday since Syahirah's session was on Saturday's evening. It was our first experience going on a trip without our family and I can proudly say that it was a success (except for the last part kat kl sentral yang aku bad mood :()
So, Syahirah iv session was on Saturday's evening at 2 pm and she got the 3rd panel. We met our friends, had a little bit of conversation and end up being nervous eventhough session kitorang esok paginya.
So, the interviewers asked several question to Syahirah regarding basic law question that we've study during our foundation studies and give her option to tell about the current issue that had capture her attention. And she tells them about Dr Zakir Naik that have been banned from giving talk at UTEM. Guess what? The interviewers psycho her by asking "what is UTEM?" "are you sure that it is Universiti Teknikal Melaka?" "Bukan Universiti Teknologi Malaysia ke?" "Okay, it's actually Universiti Teknikal Melaka." The moral of the story is just be confident with your answer. :)
The next morning is me and Aishah session. We went to uitm without even taking our breakfast sampai abang lobi hotel tanya aikkk tak makan dulu ke? So, we arrived there around 8 am and check our panel and I got the 4th panel and Aishah was in 2nd panel. The interview started at 8.30 am and my group was at 10.30 am. Waktu nak masuk bilik tu lah rasa nak terberak nak terkencing bagai and it was very nerve wrecking.
So, I went into the room with the other three candidate and I was the first candidate. Basically, the interviewers asked us to introduce ourselves and asked several basic law question. Bila tiba turn aku, they asked "what is the subject that you dislikes the most?". I jawab 087 dengan harapan tanyalah aku soalan tuuuuu itu subjek favorite akuuuu. Unfortunately, they asked me 037 and it were simple and Alhamdulillah I manage to answer them dengan cemerlang gemilang terbilang (ayat sedapkan diri). So that's it. They didn't asked us current legal issues at allllll! Weh penat aku cari sampai banyak issue nak cerita dia tak tanya pun? (aku cari dua je sebenarnya :P). So keluarlah kami berempat dari bilik itu dengan menarik nafas yang lega.
After that, I immediately checked my phone and there was two missed calls from Aishah. She settled down with her interview in the same time as mine. Syahirah didn't followed us that morning since she have to do the check out from the hotel and Alhamdulillah there was Syahirah's sister to help us with our bags and so on. Thanks kak koon. (p/s: if you ever read this post then let me say that you are amazinggg sister of Syahirah. I swear!)
So, we waited for Syahirah to fetch us from that place and went to Pak Li's Kopitiam to have our lunch and after that to the House of Cats to play with the beautiful cats there and straight to KL Sentral after that. I went home by bus at TBS, Syahirah by ETS and Aishah by flight. It was a great experience for me and I bet for both of them too. :)
So, here's some tips for those who are prepare to go to the interview:
1) Make sure to bring the original copy of the important certificate, your ic, your birth certificate etc.
2) Make sure you photocopied the required certificates and DAPATKAN PENGESAHAN ok :)
3) Pakai sopan and kemas. Pakaian melambangkan peribadi gitu. Our attire is the first thing that will be judge by them. Penampilan melambangkan peribadi.
4) If you didn't bring any of the items above, then the first thing you have to do is apologize to the interviewers for your carelessness.
5) Jangan dengar sangat gossip pasal soalan yang akan ditanya. Setiap session lain soalan so just minta tips tak payah minta soalan spot.
6) Don't be nervous. Kalau nervous habis hilang key penting yang kau nak cakap takde dah wow factor yang kau nak bagi kat interviewers tu.
